Welcome to Government First Grade College Raichur
Our College was established in the year 2006 on the premises of a Government Pre-University College. At present, it has its building and offers 05 Under Graduate courses and 03 Post Graduate Courses. It is one of the largest, in the terms of student enrolment, higher education institutions among the affiliated colleges.
There are 4511 students enrolled for different courses for the academic year 2021-22. This premier institution offering value-based education to students is a landmark of quality education, situated in Nijalingappa Colony, Raichur, Karnataka. It is well connected by various modes of transport. The College was accredited by NAAC with a "B" Grade for First Cycle. In the last four years, the students of the college have been able to get excellent results in the University examinations; Regular courses in the College receive additional support from various short-term and enrichment courses.
Our students have excelled in the fields of sports, culture, NSS, NCC, YRC etc. Several students have represented the University team in various games and sports.
The College has 22 full-time teachers, out of which 09 are PhD degree holders. The college embarked on a programme of integrating ICT into all academic and administrative functions in a phased manner.
